Riga Airport

Riga Airport

Riga International Airport is the largest airport in Baltic States, which has served 6.1 million passengers in 2017, with an increase of 12.9% compared to the previous year. Due to the business strategy of the Latvian national airline Airbaltic, Riga Airport became an important connection hub for transit passengers. The airport hosts flights to 90 destinations worldwide. TAV Airports is represented by five subsidiary companies at Riga Airport, where TAV Latvia is operating commercial areas, ATU Duty Free, BTA, TAV Operation Services and HAVAŞ is providing ground handling services, in total having more than 500 employees. TAV Latvia is responsible for the operation of all commercial areas in Riga Airport passenger terminal since the beginning of 2011, when TAV Airports won a tender and concluded a concession agreement with Riga International Airport. Commercial areas include duty free shops, F&B premises, retail shops, car rental offices, currency exchange offices, ATM and vending machine areas. By renovating the commercial areas in the old part of passenger terminal and opening additional commercial areas in the newly constructed pier, TAV Latvia has become one of the most valuable cooperation partners of Riga International Airport.
