TAV Airports submits the best bid at the Medinah Airport Tender

TAV Airports wins the Medinah Airport tender of Saudi Arabia along with its partners Al Rajhi and Saudi Oger. Following the signing of the contracts, the Consortium led by TAV Airports shall realize the project to increase the capacity of Medinah Airport, on the basis of Build-Transfer-Operate model, gaining the operating rights for 25 years. The current 4 million passenger capacity at Medinah Airport will be increased to 8 million with the addition of the new terminal building to be built.

The Consortium led by TAV Airports submitted the best bid at the Medinah Airport tender of Saudi Arabia. As a result of the evaluation by the local authority General Directorate of Civil Aviation, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the bid submitted by TAV Airports together with joint partners Saudi Oger Ltd and Al Rajhi Holding Group was announced to be the best offer. The Consortium will be realizing the Medinah Airports project on Built-Transfer-Operate model and gain the operating rights for 25 years. The current 4 million passenger capacity at Medinah Airport will be increased to 8 million with the addition of the new terminal building to be built.

We are very happy to be in the position to build and operate the gates of entry and exit to such a city.  We were involved in the project along with the two most powerful players of the region; Al Rajhi and Saudi Oger.  This project that we will be realizing on the Holly Land will have a special meaning to us”. 

Led by TAV Airports and involving Al Rajhi and Saudi Oger which are regarded as the two most powerful groups on the Arabian Peninsula and the Middle East, the Consortium achieved the highest technical points at the tender and submitted the best financial offer.
