Stating that they were honoured to have won awards in four separate categories, competing with over 3,500 projects from over 20 countries in the League of American Communication Professionals (LACP), TAV Airports Holding Corporate Communication Coordinator Bengi Vargül said: “What lies behind the value created by TAV Airports is that we have the advantage of working with managers who provide us with an opportunity for thinking out of the box and who encourage us to create projects along these lines. Our report is a reflection of strong leadership, of pioneering approach in the sector and of the skill to work as a team. We work in an environment that supports innovative thought and we never forget that our main business concerns ‘people.’ We are happy to have created a work that once again focuses on people, as well as to have created, on behalf of TAV Airports, a second example that breaks with the classical financial reporting approach and with traditional thought and that instils curiosity.”
Prepared in an interactive medium, TAV Airports Holding’s 2008 Annual Report is a reflection of both the financial value of TAV Airports, as well as the company’s close connection with people and its perspective on people. The report is accompanied by music especially composed by jazz musician Kerem Görsev for the airports operated by TAV Airports, music that conjures up the stories of the cities and countries where the terminals are situated.
TAV Airports Holding’s 2007 Annual Report, which included quotations from the Istanbullular novel by Buket Uzuner, won the “Silver Award” in the Traditional Creativity Awards Competition organised in the U.S.A. and the “Best Design in Annual Reports” in the Graphic Products Competition organised by the Turkish Society of Graphic Design and a second edition was published.
