Sani Şener tells TAV's success story, in Dubai
TAV Group CEO Sani Şener has participated in Global Airports Leaders’ Forum in Dubai, where international aviation authorities gathered, and talked about the success story of TAV since its establishment.
TAV Group CEO Sani Şener has spoken at the 4th Global Airports Leaders’ Forum organized in Dubai. Held at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Center between May 9th and 11th, 2016 as part of Airport Show, the forum was attended by the President of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of Dubai Airports, Chairman and CEO of Emirates Airlines & Group H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum and senior executives of the aviation industry.
Şener spoke at the "Gulf Region" panel held on the first day of the event about the investments and projects in the region, passenger supply & demand issues, impact of the fluctuations in oil prices on airport investments, operational efficiency, role of increased security at the airport and expectations in aviation industry in the future.
Stating that TAV's story has started with Istanbul Atatürk Airport project, Şener highlighted that TAV has its footprints at 70 airports in 17 countries. Highlighting the importance of continuous communication and collaboration as well as having an innovative and dynamic organizational structure on the way to success, Şener underlined that effective communication results in efficiency. Şener remarked that success of airport operations could only be possible by healthy, efficient and active information sharing between all stakeholders and explained that the finest example of successful operation can be given as "Building Information Modeling-BIM" system which provides the coordination and integration of all operations in airport terminals and associated facilities from structural and technological infrastructure to construction and operation.
Şener expressed that TAV's growth was projected to be achieved on three grounds and continued: "The first one is organic growth, which is the growth in the existing airports. The second one is inorganic growth, in which we will include new airports as part pf public-private sector partnership projects to our portfolio. We have invested more than $ billion in the airports so far and continue our investments. TAV Construction continues to build the most significant airports at the Gulf region, including the New Terminal Building Project of Bahrein Airport which we have recently been awarded, and will maintain growth in the region. The third ground is the growth achieved by service companies. We will continue our operations at the airports worldwide from the United States of America to Africa, the Middle East and Southeast Asia."
Chaired by Dubai Aviation City Corporation President Khalifa Al Zaffin, the panel was also participated by Oman Airports Management Company CEO Sheikh Aiman Al Hosni and Hill International Acting President Melvyn Ford.
