TAV stand receives huge interest in ITB Berlin
TAV Airports is participating in ITB Berlin-International Tourism Exchange Fair, the world's leading tourism and travel trade show. TAV promotes 14 destinations it operates in seven countries in collaboration with public institutes and local authorities.
TAV Airports Holding, the leading brand of Turkey in airport operations, participates in the 50th ITB Berlin - International Tourism Exchange Fair, one of the most prestigious events of the tourism-travel industry. TAV's stand which represents all airports operated by TAV and its service companies received huge interest from the visitors during the first day of the fair.
TAV Airports Marketing Director Aslıhan Çörtük stated: “TAV Airports has been participating in ITB Berlin, where the leading global representatives of tourism industry come together, since 2001. Throughout the fair, we will be promoting 14 airports in seven countries and the surrounding region that TAV operates in collaboration with public institutes and local authorities. We will be meeting tour operators and airline companies and will try to increase the number of direct flights, particularly to Bodrum, Izmir and Gazipaşa-Alanya airports, before the summer season. Our goal is to represent our country in the best possible way in geographies where we take TAV brand to, as well as contributing to the development of the tourism potential of the regions that we have operations".
TAV started to operate domestic and international terminals of Milas-Bodrum Airport in 2014 and 2015 respectively and participated in 20 international tourism fairs officially recognized by Directorate General for Promotion of Culture and Tourism Ministry last year to raise the passenger traffic at Milas-Bodrum Airport. TAV will continue the promoting activities this year by hosting tourism journalists arriving from 10 countries, where the highest numbers of flights are launched, in Bodrum during May-June.
This year, ITB Berlin is organized between March 9th and 13th, set up on an exhibition area of 160,000 sqm and host to around 10,000 participants and 180,000 visitors from 187 countries.
