TAV Esenboğa General Manager Demirer receives the award "Golden Women of Aviation"
TAV Esenboğa General Manager Nuray Demirer has received the award "Golden Women of Aviation "at the ceremony, organized by Aviation Safety Institute and hosted by University of Turkish Aeronautical Association.
Operated by TAV Airports, Ankara Esenboğa Airport General Manager Nuray Demirer has received the award “Golden Women of Aviation Sector Award" that was organized by Aviation Safety Institute for the first time. Demirer was awarded as "Operating Airport Terminal - Executive of the Year" at the ceremony where the successful women executives of aviation sector were presented awards in seven categories.
TAV Esenboğa General Manager Nuray Demirer stated: “At TAV Esenboğa, our goal is to provide the best services to the passengers and contribute to the society. This year, we have succeeded to become Turkey's first airport to reach the appropriate carbon levels by planning to minimize our environmental impacts and neutralizing carbon emission. We collaborated with Turkish Aeronautical Association in 2014-2015 academic year in order to pass on our know-how on airport operations. We provided Airport Operation lessons within post graduate program with our expert executives at the practice sites in different sections of our terminal within the motto of 'TAV Esenboğa Airport supports training' As TAV Esenboğa. We are proud and glad to receive the award.”
DHMI Deputy General Manager Funda Ocak was awarded with “Best Public Operation Executive of the Year", Turkish Aeronautical Association President Prof. Nevin Yörük “President of the Year”, Pegasus Airlines Deputy General Manager Nurçin Özsoy “Operating Airport Terminal - Executive of the Year", Sportive Aviation and Tourism A.Ş. Chairman Nuray Karalar “Entrepreneur of the Year”, Anadolu University Air Traffic Control Department Head Aydan Cavcar “Aviation Academician of the Year” and General Directorate of Civil Aviation Airports Department Director Özgü Sarıünal “Public Institution Executive of the Year".
Arriving to Ankara from 35 locations of Turkey, passengers can directly fly to 25 destinations in 14 countries from Esenboğa Airport. In 2014, Ankara Esenboğa Airport provided service to 82 thousand 239 flights and approximately 11 million passengers.
