AT THE OHRID AIRPORT: “TAV Macedonia” welcomed the first Dutch tourists

The first charter flight with Dutch tourists, from Amsterdam has arrived in Ohrid this morning. Until October, through 130 organized charter flights, Ohrid is expected to be visited by 20.000 Dutch tourists

With a welcome ceremony, TAV Macedonia this morning at the St. Paul the Apostle Airport welcomed the first 180 Dutch tourists that have arrived with the charter flight of the Corendon Airlines.

Girls dressed in a Macedonian national costumes, offered the arriving tourists from Amsterdam with traditional snack with bread and salt, and before that TAV Macedonia employees organized interesting view for the present – water bridge in the form of a rainbow surrounded the aircraft.

TAV Macedonia officials say that they are satisfied that these charter flights with the Dutch tourists continue this summer season, fifth year in turn.

Today at the Ohrid St. Paul the Apostle Airport for the fifth time we traditionally welcome the first flight of the Corendon Airline with Dutch tourists, expressing them warm welcome – with bread and salt. Among the passengers we can recognize such that have already visited Ohrid and that particularly makes us happy and confirms our commitment to the passengers and their needs. TAV Macedonia together with the Municipality of Ohrid and supported by the Government of the Republic of Macedonia this year also offered low cost services for the charter airlines from several destinations. All together, along with the new regular routes introducing this summer, will contribute to the realization of yet another successful and wealth tourists season at the Ohrid coast, Zoran Krstevski, General Manager of TAV Macedonia, outlined.

The officials of the company that operates both Macedonian airports say that this summer in Ohrid can be expected over 20.000 tourists from the Netherlands, as a result of the charter flights Amsterdam-Ohrid-Amsterdam of both airlines Corendon and Arkefly, which start operations in May and will last until October. Within this period, about 130 aircrafts full of Dutch tourists are expected by both airlines together.

TAV Macedonia officials announce that this year during the summer tourist season increase of the air traffic at the St. Paul Apostle is expected, not only due to Dutch tourists travels, but also because of the regular charter flights of the Niki Airline, regular routes of Jetairfly relating
