ATU DUTY FREE wins tender to operate duty free stores at 5 more airports in TUNISIA
Founded as a joint venture between TAV Airports and Unifree Duty Free / Gebr. Heinemann, ATU Duty Free has been awarded the tender to operate the duty free shops at the 5 Tunisian international airports: Tunis-Carthage, Djerba-Zarzis, Sfax-Thyna, Tozeur-Nefta and Tabarka-Ain Draham. ATU will operate the duty free stores at 5 airports located on an area of 5,406 sqm in total for 8 years and 2 months, which served 8 million passengers in 2013.

Besides ATU Duty Free, Dufry, Aer Rianta, World Duty Free Group participated in the sealed-bid tender. November 2014 sees the start of ATU's new operations in Tunisia: at Tunis-Carthage, Djerba-Zarzis, Sfax-Thyna, Tozeur-Nefta and Tabarka - Ain Draham International Airports.
Operating in Enfidha and Monastir airports, ATU has increased the number of airports that it provides services in Tunisia to seven.
In the beginning of August 2014, ATU Duty Free was awarded the tender for the operation rights of duty free stores at New Airport in Salalah, the second largest city of Oman, for 10 years.
Headquartered in Istanbul, ATU Tourism Operations Co. is currently operates duty free stores at airports in Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir and Gazipasa in Turkey; Tbilisi, Batumi and Kutaisi in Georgia; Enfidha and Monastir in Tunisia; Skopje and Ohrid in Macedonia; Riga in Latvia; Salalah in Oman and Medinah airport in Saudi Arabia.
