Dutch Transavia connects the two capitals
Operated by TAV Airports, Ankara Esenboğa Airport started hosting Dutch Transavia Airlines' flights to Amsterdam. Transavia Airlines will be operating reciprocal flights from Ankara Esenboğa Airport to Amsterdam once a week.
The first of the flights that the Dutch Airline company Transavia launched to the capital city Amsterdam from Ankara Esenboğa Airport, operated by TAV Airports, took place. 103 passengers and the cabin crew who arrived at Ankara Esenboğa Airport on a Boeing 737-8 type aircraft at 22:00 hours on May 19th were welcomed to the airport by TAV executive personnel.
TAV Esenboğa General Manager Nuray Demirer said "At Esenboğa Airport, we see passengers arriving at our airport from 35 points in Anatolia off to the 25 destinations in 14 countries worldwide. We are very happy to be hosting Transavia Airlines' flights that connect the capitals of Holland and Turkey to each other, from Esenboğa Airport which has the privilege to be the most modern airport in Europe."
Transavia Airlines will be flying passengers from Esenboğa Airport directly to Amsterdam every Monday. Ankara Esenboğa Airport provided service to 10 million 928 thousand 403 passengers in 2013, with an increase of 18 per cent compared to the previous year. 85,241 flights took place at the airport in 2013.
