Havaş provides service at Holy Lands
Havaş has become the first Turkish company receiving ground handling services license at Saudi Arabia. Established to provide ground handling services at Madinah Airport in Saudi Arabia, Havaş Saudi Arabia received ground handling services license for Madinah Airport and therefore improved Havaş's service network to the Middle East.
Providing ground handling services at 23 airports in Turkey and 7 airports in Europe, Havaş also received ground handling services license in Saudi Arabia. Havaş Saudi Arabia was established under Havaş, TAV and Al Rajhi partnership to operate ground handling services at Madinah Airport, which is operated by TAV Airports.
HHavaş General Manager Nurzat Erkal said “As Havaş, we are proud to start providing services at Madinah, one of the two holy cities of Saudi Arabia. Madinah Airport hosted 40,000 flights in 2013 while providing services to approximately 5 million passengers. Having started to provide services at Madinah Airport, we aim to improve the network of Havaş Saudi Arabia nationwide and to other countries in the region.”
Havaş Saudi Arabia will be responsible for Passenger Services, Ramp Services, Representation and Management Services, Flight Operation / Load Control and Communication Services, Cargo and Mail Services. Providing ground handling services at 23 airports in Turkey, Havaş also provides services at Riga Airport in Latvia, Frankfurt, Munich, Berlin Tegel, Hamburg, Stuttgart and Düsseldorf airports in Germany as Havaş Europe. In addition to its service network in Turkey, Havaş aims to expand its services both towards the east and west.
