TAV CFO Geris is amongst the 16 women to shape the future

TAV Airports CFO Burcu Geris was selected for the Women's Forum Rising Talents Initiative which is a growing network of young talents who will undertake the role of leadership in the future. 16 women throughout the world, who are successful in different fields, participated in the global forum which was held in Deauville, France this year.

TAV Airports CFO Burcu Geris was selected for the Women's Forum Rising Talents Initiative which had seen the participation of 16 young women who are anticipated to be influential on the future global economy and social projects. Geris who participated in the global forum held in Deauville, France became the second women selected from Turkey to attend the 7th Rising Talents initiative. The writer Elif Safak had participated in the initiative in 2009.

TAV Airports CFO Burcu Geris said "I am very happy to have the chance to participate in this initiative. We had a three very busy days during which we had the opportunity to meet and share experiences with the business people and civil society representatives who are leading global figures. I believe that the participation of the women to this initiative will lead to a major acceleration in economic and social life. TAV Airports works towards creating the most suitable environment for women to be able to produce the highest value in every field from equal opportunities to working conditions. Likewise, we believe that the financial gain that does not yield any social benefit is not significant therefore, we fulfill our social responsibilities as a priority in the geographies that we operate in.”

The Topic of the 9th Women’s Forum was "Open World: Competition, Cooperation and Creation” Besides Geris, Alarko Group Board Member Leyla Alaton, Eczacibasi Group Sustainable Development Specialist Ebru Ilhan and MP Safak Pavey also attended the event as speakers, which brought the leading business people, academicians and civil society representatives together. Approximately 1300 people attended the meeting from 80 countries.

Every year, 20 successful women are selected to the Women's Forum Rising Talents initiative held under the collaboration of Egon Zehnder and Eurazeo. The 7th initiative accepts candidates who are under 40 years of age who possess great talent and display courage in their professional and personal lives, and have potential to achieve great success in the future.
