TAV at the world’s biggest tourism fair

TAV Airports participated in ITB –International Tourism Exchange Fair, one of the world’s most prestigious events in global tourism and travel industry. Participating in the fair for the tenth time, the booth of TAV, which is represented by its operation and service companies, attracted huge interest during the first day of the event.

TAV Airports, a global leading brand of Turkey in airport operations, took its place by a stand at the 47th ITB- International Tourism Exchange Fair. Held in Berlin, Germany between March 6th and 10th, the fair aims to bring the tourism professionals together at a common platform. Opened with the attendance of German Chancellor Angela Merkel, the fair is expected to have more than 170,000 visitors during the five days. TAV Airports participates in the fair with a 55 square meter booth located at Hall 3.2/105, where approximately 10,000 companies are represented from more than 180 countries.

TAV Airports Marketing Coordinator Aslıhan Cortuk said "This year, we take our place in the fair at our stand not only representing our airports in Turkey but also our airport operations and service companies in Macedonia, Georgia and Tunisia. ITB Berlin is an extensive organization bringing together all the players in the international tourism industry. We are very happy with the interest we are receiving as the leading airport operation of Turkey and the region. During the event where future trends are set, we are promoting the destinations and services in our portfolio in line with our goals by networking directly with the representatives of various sectors.”

Held for the first time in 1966 with the participation of five countries, ITB Berlin has, in time, become the world’s most extensive event in the tourism and travel sector. Set up on a 580 square meter grounds in its first year, the fair is now spread onto an area of 160,000 square meters this year.
