TAV's experience becomes a course at Bahcesehir University
Established through a collaboration between TAV Academy and Bahcesehir University Cooperative Education (CO-OP), the “Business Management of Airport Operations” course attracted tremendous interest from students. TAV Group executives will be sharing their knowledge and experiences in the field with young people who wish to make a career in the sector.
TAV Group, the leading Turkish brand in airport design, construction, finance and operation, has collected its know-how into a course in cooperation with Bahcesehir University. The 25 places allocated for the course offered as an elective subject for Business Administration students during the autumn period were soon filled.
The course content was prepared by TAV Academy, whose aim is to enhance the business model that made the group successful with academic theory. The 14-week course in English to be given to TAV Group executives covers all airport operations from ground services to terminal operation. As part of the syllabus, students will have the opportunity to view the operations in person during a visit to Istanbul Ataturk Airport.
TAV Academy Coordinator Ezgi Kadioglu said, “Business management of airport operations is a niche sector that requires specific know-how. As TAV Academy, we have established a structure where the knowledge that TAV Group, the leader not only in Turkey but in its target regions North Africa, Middle East, Caucasians and Balkans, produces is gathered, processed and disseminated within and outside the group through various programs. This course we have established with Bahcesehir University is the first product of this effort and we are very happy to receive such interest in the course we have put together. As TAV Group, whose most valuable asset is its human resources, training is one of our priority issues and we are proud to be sharing our experience with the younger generation.
The Business Management of Airport Operations course was set up in a collaborative effort between TAV Academy and the Bahcesehir University CO-OP (Cooperative Education) program. The model, which is based on a model of cooperation between the academic and business worlds, aims to provide students with the opportunity to experience business life during their undergraduate studies. TAV Academy, which is owned by TAV Group, one of the brands creating the highest level of employment in Turkey, focuses on four main subjects; leadership and skills development, airport operations, professional and personal development, and university sector cooperation. The academy also hosts students from regional countries serving as one of the training centers of Airports Council International (ACI) Europe, the largest platform of airport operators in the region.
