Following the tenders we have won in Medina and Jeddah of Saudi Arabia, we are extremely happy to be awarded the Abu Dhabi Airport tender, achieving such success and adding this $3 billion worth of mega project to our portfolio. We have once more registered our brand in the global airport sector through our adaptability and flexible management style. We believe that we are a true representative of our country. The Employer (Abu Dhabi Airports Company) has been working in collaboration with Kohn Pederson Fox Associates (KPF), a USA based company, for the design of the terminal building. With 52 meter tall ceiling height and distinctive architecture, the terminal has a spectacular design. Some of the quantities to emphasize the sheer size of this project are as follows:
• Total built area of 702 thousand square meters
• 106 boarding bridges
• More than 22 kilometers of conveyor
• 19 thousand baggage capacity per hour
The terminal building which will be constructed by using 84 thousand tons of steel will have a roof area of 225 thousand meter squares and a total facade area of 200 thousand meter squares. One of the unique aspects of this prestigious project is the effective use of BIM-Building Information Modeling which enables the potential problems to be predicted in a 3D working environment. TAV Construction, the fourth biggest company in the world in the field of airport construction according to one of the most prestigious publications of the sector Engineering News Record (ENR), has recently won an $800 million worth of hangar tender at Jeddah Airport, Saudi Arabia.
